HELPING THE COMMUNITY
The One Voice Community Development Program helps the community by educating and empowering women through group and individual mentorship. Our program seeks to discourage the occurrence of unwed mothers in urban areas and to drastically reduce welfare dependency in single parent households by equipping program participants with the tools needed to achieve, succeed and lead.
ONE VOICE YOUTH PROGRAM
The OVCDP Youth Program meets 1-2 Saturdays per month with elementary school-aged children between the ages of 5 – 12 years old.
Workshops/Activities include the following:
Visual and Performing Arts * Music * Cultural Enrichment
Self-Esteem Building * S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Tech, Engineering, Art, Math)
Creative Writing * Etiquette * Modeling
Field Trips & more!

OUR COMMUNITY
OUTREACH PROJECTS
As a requirement of the program, we participate in group activities and encourage all participants to be active in their communities by giving their time on an annual basis to projects such as; Community Clean Up Day- Nursing Home Visitation- Feeding the Homeless- Volunteering for local charities
How You Can Help
We are always looking for mentors that want to make a difference!
- Do you have a skill you’d like to share?
- Would you like to do a presentation during one of our C.O.R.E. Sessions?
- Does your company/organization have space to host our meetings? (Approximately 6 hrs per month)
- OR…Are you 35 years of age or older, a single mother and/or a woman who has the time, resources, and desire to join our team?
