In order to complete the Program, participants must:

  • Make a 12-month commitment
  • Attend monthly C.O.R.E. sessions
  • Participate in program community outreach initiatives once a year
  • Accept employment if available or offered

**As a condition of acceptance into the program, participants agree to not increase in dependents or family size until they are able to support their current family with minimal federal/state assistance.

NON-RESIDENTIAL

The OVCDP, Inc. Non-Residential program includes monthly participation in C.O.R.E. Sessions during which certified childcare is available.  Monthly activities and events are subsidized by contributions to the program by our donors.  In addition to ongoing mentorship and support for the 12-month program, participants also receive assistance in securing post-program housing within Baltimore City or County if there is a need, donated clothing/uniforms for work or school, and back-to-school supplies for children in PK4 – 5th grade.

To Apply to the Non-residential Program

The following conditions must be met:*

1. Must be a non-cohabitating single mother
2. All children must be under 12 years of age
3. Must be between 17 – 30 years old
4. Be a resident of Baltimore

RESIDENTIAL

In addition to the benefits available through the OVCDP, Inc. Non-Residential program, Residential Program participants also receive housing for the duration of the 12-month program on the multi-family housing campus of the One Voice Community Development Program.

To Apply to the Residential Program

The following conditions must be met:*

1. Must be a non-cohabitating single mother
2. All children must be under 12 years of age
3. Must be between 17 – 30 years old
4. Be a resident of Baltimore or willing to relocate to Baltimore City

Residential participants are expected to contribute to the upkeep of the temporary housing unit by maintaining shared space with other women and their children, helping with household chores, and following all house rules and restrictions while living in the property.

Repeated or blatant disregard for the house rules and/or others and their personal property is grounds for reconsideration of participation in the residential program of OVCDP, Inc.
